PSL 6: Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by six wickets

Peshawar Zalmi easily completed the target of 109 runs for the loss of four wickets in 11 overs.

Haider Ali of Peshawar Zalmai 16 while Kamran Akmal returned to the pavilion with only nine runs.


In the 24th match of Pakistan Super League played in Abu Dhabi, Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz won the toss and invited Karachi Kings to bat first.

Karachi Kings struggled from the start of the match and only three of its players returned to the pavilion with a score of 12.

Karachi Kings could score only 108 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated overs.

It should be noted that Peshawar Zalmi is currently third in the points table while Karachi Kings is fourth.


Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars

In the first match of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League played on Tuesday, Quetta Gladiators defeated Lahore Qalandars and won an important match in PSL.

In reply to Quetta Gladiators' 158 runs, the entire Lahore Qalandars team was bowled out for 140 runs.

The highest score by Lahore Qalandar was scored by Tim David who was the only Lahore Qalandars batsman to stand in front of the Gladiators. He scored 46 off 27 balls with the help of three sixes and four fours. He was caught by Sarfraz Ahmed off Usman Shinwari.

The first player to be dismissed by Lahore Qalandars was its captain Sohail Akhtar who was dismissed without scoring a run. After that, Fakhr Zaman was bowled by Mohammad Hasnain for 23. He scored only 12 runs.

The third out was Mohammad Hafeez who scored a run and was caught by Azam Khan off Shinwari.

When the score reached 39, Zeeshan Ashraf was also caught by Khurram Shehzad. He scored 16 runs. Shortly afterwards, Ben Dunk scored just six runs at 47 and was bowled by Muhammad Nawaz.

Qalandars' sixth wicket fell when Rashid Khan also scored eight runs and was bowled by Nawaz. The seventh wicket belonged to Ahmed Daniel who scored three runs and was caught by Muhammad Nawaz off Khurram Shehzad.

The ninth Lahore Qalandars player to be dismissed was Shaheen Afridi who was bowled by Khurram Shehzad. James Faulkner remained unbeaten on 12 runs.

The last Qalandars to be dismissed was Harris Rauf, who was bowled by Mohammad Hasnain for a quick run. He scored 19 off seven balls.

It should be noted that winning this match was very important for Quetta to stay in the tournament.

All the bowlers from Quetta Gladiators bowled well. Usman Shinwari and Khurram Shehzad took three wickets each while Mohammad Hasnain and Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets each.

The lowest scorer was Khurram Shehzad who bowled three wickets for 14 runs in three overs.

Usman Shinwari was declared Man of the Match for his excellent performance.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and invited Quetta Gladiators to play first. In response, playing earlier, Quetta Gladiators gave Lahore Qalandars a target of 159 runs to win.

Quetta opener Jack Weatherland top-scored with 48 runs. Apart from him, Sarfraz Ahmed remained unbeaten on 34 while Azam Khan played an excellent innings of 33 off 18 balls.
