A woman who came to Pakistan from India converted to Islam and married a citizen of Lahore
A Sikh woman who came to Pakistan to attend the birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak, a Sikh spiritual leader, converted to Islam and married a Lahore resident.
Paramjit Kaur, a deaf and dumb Sikh woman, came to Pakistan with her Sikh husband for Baba Guru Nanak's birthday celebrations. She converted to Islam and married Muhammad Imran, a Lahore resident.
The woman has converted to Islam and changed her name to Parveen Sultana while her husband Imran also lacks the ability to speak and listen.
According to Indian media reports, Pramjit had contacted Muhammad Imran through social media which was in the knowledge of her Sikh husband.
After the visa of Sikh pilgrims expired on November 26, the woman wanted to return to India with her Muslim husband Imran, but due to lack of visa, Muhammad Imran could not be allowed to go to India.
The woman found it expensive to marry a Muslim
