Muhammad Hafeez: Former Pakistan captain resigns from global cricket
Previous Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez has reported his retirement from worldwide cricket.
The all-rounder played in 55 Tests, 218 one-day internationals and 119 Twenty20 internationals for his nation, last showing up in November's T20 World Cup semi-last loss by Australia.
He scored 12,780 runs and took 253 wickets across each of the three arrangements.
"Today I bid farewell to worldwide cricket with satisfaction and fulfillment," the 41-year-old said.
"I have procured and achieved more than I had at first conceived and for that, I'm appreciative to all my kindred cricketers, commanders, support staff and the PCB [Pakistan Cricket Board] who assisted me with trip during my vocation."
Hafeez made his worldwide introduction in 2003, making his name as an initial hitter while bowling low maintenance off-turn.
In 2012 and 2013, he bested the International Cricket Council's rankings for bowlers and all-rounders, a period in which he captained Pakistan's T20 side, prior to being positioned the top T20 all-rounder in March 2014.
Be that as it may, he was restricted from bowling on a few events subsequent to being accounted for having an illicit bowling activity, most as of late in 2019 while playing for English region side Middlesex, and had to redesign his activity.
"His game advanced with time, acclimating to various organizations shrewdly," said Pakistan Cricket Board director and individual ex-public commander Ramiz Raja.
Hafeez will keep on playing in the Pakistan Super League and be accessible for other establishment competitions.
